Thursday 23rd February sees our annual panel competitions. Members need to make themselves aware of the requirements for submitting their entries – full details can be found here.
But in addition please note:
- PDI images are NOT required to be submitted for Print panels (Mono or Colour), but please do send the title of your panel(s) to firstname.lastname@example.org
- For PDI panels, we are reverting to the old PDI standard, which requires images no larger than 1000 pixels on the longest side. The file naming convention is as described in the above guidelines. Submission deadline is Tuesday 21st. (But the earlier the better)
A limit of 3 panels in each category applies.
Saturday February 25th
To see the Radical Eye exhibition of classic original photographs from the Elton John collection.
The final round of our PDI competition finished on 2nd February, and the two winners were announced: Geoff Spriegel won the John Fox Trophy for Club class members, and John Nathan ARPS won the Philips cup for Advanced members. Full scores are as usual available on our Results page, and a selection of the top images can be seen in our Gallery.
This website should now be back to fully functioning – if you encounter any problems please report them to the Webmaster.
>Please note that our website hosting is being moved to a new system on the night of Monday 30th January. For reasons beyond our control the website may not be available after this, until Thursday 2nd February.<
Following the cancellation of last Thursday’s meeting a few changes have been made to the programme to accommodate the rescheduled Round 2 of the Colour Print Competition. This competition will now take place on 16th March.
Round 3 of the PDI competitions has therefore had to be moved forward to February 2nd – please note PDI submissions must be received no later than NOON on Saturday 28th January, since our Competitions Secretary will be away until the Thursday. If you submit entries after this time, they will be not be acknowledged until Thursday, but cannot be guaranteed to be included.
In addition we have a new talk by Viveca Koh scheduled for January 26th – see the main Programme for details of all the changes. There is also a link to a revised PDF for those of you who like to print out the programme.
