Two Chances to Meet TPS in Godstone

A highly-trained, elite team of operatives from TPS will be at the Godstone Fete on August Bank Holiday Monday 28th August 2017. If you’d like to find out more about the club and  discover how you could improve your photography, please come along to our stall and say hello. The fete takes place on Godstone Green from 11am to 5pm. There will even be a Donkey Derby so you can practice your (slow) sports photography! It’s going to be sunny though, so bring sunscreen!

Remember, the first event of our 2017-18 season will take place in the Godstone Baptist Church Hall (near the Shell Service Station) from 8pm on Thursday 7th September. New members and visitors are very welcome. To find out more drop us a message by clicking here.

New Season Programme

A preliminary draft of our exciting programme of events for 2017-18 has now been published.

Further updates will follow in due course, but, for now, make sure you’ve got 8-10pm on Thursday 7th September blocked out in your diary for our kick-off Open Evening, which is at the Godstone Baptist Church, next to the Shell garage.

And check out the full year’s programme here.

Did you know that you can also follow updates from TPS on Facebook and Instagram?

Our public Facebook page can be found here. Everyone is welcome to follow us here to stay up-to-date with club activities and events.

Our (shiny, new!) Instagram account can be found here, but the best way to join in is by following ‘tpscameraclub’ in the Instagram app. We regularly post examples of our members’ photos to this account so this can be a great source of inspiration for photographers.

And, for members only:

We also have a private group on Facebook where members can post questions and share updates with other members. If you’re a paid-up member of the club (hint: it’s easy to join!), click the link above and select Join Group. The group admin will review your request and let you in. He’s like a bouncer, but a lot less muscular.

Close of Season

Our AGM was held last night, to mark the end of the 2016-17 programme, apart from our Annual Dinner which will be on Thursday 1st June, 19:30 at the Cucina restaurant in Oxted (bookings now closed).

Members judged the best prints of the year – the monochrome prize going to Allister Frost, and for colour prints to Brian Smith.  Well done guys! Our committee underwent a few changes, which will be reflected on our Contacts page in due course, but we do still have a vacancy for a new Chair, although John Howard has kindly acceded to remaining in post until such time a replacement is found, or he becomes unavailable.

There will also be our usual programme of informal pub meetings on alternate Thursdays throughout the summer, as well as our attendances at various local shows and fetes – details to be published shortly.
