To see the Radical Eye exhibition of classic original photographs from the Elton John collection.
Meet on the platform (check platform No. when you get there) at East Croydon station before 09:55 for the Thameslink train to London Blackfriars station (arr. 10:21). Tate Modern is a couple of hundred yards from the station. Get return tickets to London Terminals. There are no time restrictions on Off-Peak /Senior tickets on Saturdays.
Tate Modern is free entry to the main collection but the Radical Eye is paid entry:
Full – £15.00, Concs. £13.10, but train travellers can do 2 for 1 (so half full price). Pick up a 2 for 1 leaflet from the station before you go & seek a partner to pair with & follow the instructions.
Photography is allowed (no flash or tripods) in the main collection areas but not in any paid exhibition.
Afterwards there are other paid exhibitions (Rauschenberg, Tillmans), the main collection or a stroll back along the embankment to London Bridge.
