Why You Really Should Come to the TPS AGM

On Thursday 23rd May, TPS will meet in the hall at the Godstone Baptist Church, next to the Shell Service Station, for our Annual General Meeting (AGM). If you are driving, the church has kindly arranged for you to be able to park in the car park of the Stanson Group office, directly opposite the Shell Service Station:

The AGM is an important date in the year as it marks the genesis of a new season of events and activities with the appointment of the TPS Committee. We also have to quickly carry out some other formalities like sharing details of the club’s financial position and addressing relevant questions from members.

It’s your club and, as always, it’s our TPS members who really shape our future direction and success. That’s why we need you to attend the AGM so you can vote on any important matters and give your input.

Mercifully(!), our AGMs are usually pretty efficient affairs and we work through the formalities and legal stuff as swiftly as possible. With your support, we hope to finish around 9pm, just in time for nightfall and a special (and entirely unofficial) ‘Out and About’.

From around 9pm, Brian has kindly volunteered to lead a mini night photography session on Godstone Green where you’ll get a chance to try out some new techniques and, hopefully, bag some great shots! Don’t forget to bring along a camera, a fully charged battery and a tripod if you have one. A torch might also come in handy as it can sometimes be tricky finding those buttons and dials once the sun has set. And some warm clothes in case it gets chilly!

Night photography is great fun but, be warned, it can make you surprisingly thirsty. That’s why all members are also invited to meet up in the nearby Hare & Hounds pub, during and/or after the night photography shoot for a well-earned whistle-wetter to celebrate the end of another fabulous year at TPS!

See you on all Thursday 🙂
