Competition Results – PDIs Round 1

We saw some wonderful images last night at our TPS PDI Competition (Round 1). There was a rich variety and it was especially exciting to see so many entries from our new members. Well done to everyone who took part!

Whether you agreed or disagreed with the judge is not important, what really matters is that you hopefully got some inspiration for your next photographic adventure and picked up a few tips on how do even better next time.

We’ll be featuring some of the photos on our Instagram and Facebook pages in future, but for now, here’s a reminder of the seven amazing pictures which all scored a perfect ’10’ from our guest judge¬†Graham Johnston ARPS DPAGB. Maybe you’ll find inspiration in some of these:

CLUB (John Fox Trophy)

ADVANCED (Philips Cup)

Brilliant work TPS’ers! Our next competition is Colour Prints Round 1 on 12th October, which means that correctly formatted .jpg files of your entries need to be with Brian, our Internal Competition Secretary, by midnight on Monday 9th October.

You’d better get out shooting!

Roger’s Waverley Trip

Ahoy! If you were at this evening’s Open Evening, you’ll have heard from our TPS Vice Chair, Roger Matthews, about the forthcoming trip on The Waverley Paddle Steamer. If you’re interested in joining Roger and other TPS’ers on this “Totally Unofficial Out And About” trip, the date is 6th October 2017 and full details can be found online at Sounds like there could be some interesting photo opportunities, not least being on board as the Waverley cruises under an open Tower Bridge. But there’s also a bar and restaurant on board, so there’ll be plenty of stuff to do!

If you’re interested, please book your own tickets for the 6th October sailing and make arrangements to meet Roger and the gang on the day. You can email Roger via this link.
