Set Subject Competition Results

Most of our friendly club competitions at TPS are open to all styles of photography and can feature almost any subject. But once a year we host some special ‘set subject’ competitions which require entrants to produce photos to a specific brief.

This year we had three set subjects — Landscape, Street and Creative — and each TPS member was allowed to enter just one image in each category. Our expert judge, Gerald Kitiyakara LRPS, was impressed by the standard of entries and carefully picked out his favourites. Here are the results:

Landscape Photography
Winner of the Daphne Cloquet Trophy: Malcolm Field
Runner-Up: John Gribble
Highly Commended: Dominic Murtagh

Street Photography
Winner of the Robin Cloquet Trophy: Clare Pickett LRPS
Runner-Up: Simon Bedwell LRPS
Highly Commended: Colin Bradfield

Creative Photography
Winner of the John Nathan Trophy: Alan Gristwood LRPS
Runner-Up: Sarah Bedwell LRPS
Highly Commended: Brian Smith LRPS

Thanks to all our TPS members who took part and we hope you enjoyed the extra challenge of having to create images for each of the given topics.

If the winning images have spiked your interest, why not head out soon with your camera to capture some magical images of your own? Have fun!

The talk will take place in the White Hart Barn from 8-10pm. Entry is free for TPS members, or £5 per person for non-members which includes refreshments at the interval.

Non-members and guests can now book tickets online here.
