It was a joy to see so many excellent monochrome prints (68 to be precise) in the first round of our 2019-20 TPS competition.
Our judge, Zoe Garnham-Archer, gave some excellent advice to help improve composition, focus and print/mount quality, and we hope you feel inspired for the next round of the competition.
As always, the scores are not really that important. What matters is whether you learned something new and have fresh ideas for your next trip out with the camera (or rainy day inside with the printer!).
The scores are now published in their usual home, and I’ve collated the judge’s favourite images below.
Well done to our ‘ten out of ten’ scorers: Malcolm Field, Geoff Spriegel,, clare Pickett, and Sarah Bedwell (twice, show-off!).
Our next competition will be on Thursday 21st November when we’ll welcome members from Sevenoaks and Old Coulsdon to the White hHart Barn for our annual Tripartite Competition. The TPS entries have all beeen selected, and all we now need to do is turn up and cheer on their favourite club!
And then, just around the corner on 5th December (at the Baptist Church Hall), we’ll have round 2 of our PDI competition. Time to get out to take more photos!
