The TPS Creative Photography Competition

It’s become a staple of the TPS calendar, and we now look forward to letting our photographers loose to express their creativity.

Now in it’s third year, the TPS Creative Photography Competition, inspired by the generous support of our legendary TPS stalwart John Nathan ARPS, invites members to share a photo that demonstrates their creativity. Unshackled from some of the usual constraints of club competitions, it’s a case of almost “anything goes” and the variety on display is always remarkable.

Last night’s competition was judged by Bob Webzell ARPS EFIAP of Brighton & Hove PS. Each member was allowed to enter just one image and Bob shared his interpretation of each image and picked out his favourites.

This year’s winner of the Tandridge Creative Cup for “Creative Photography” is Andrea Watson for her evocative, thought-provoking image entitled The Art Buyer.

First Place:

Well done Andrea, loving your work!

And there were plenty of other great images selected for honours by our guest judge. Congratulations to all the talented and creative photographers who feature below.

Next week at TPS we have the fabulous Heather Angel as our guest speaker. Heather is a firm favourite at TPS and always manages to share great techniques and the inspiring thought processes behind her images. Join in on Zoom from 8pm next Thursday.

Oh, and don’t forget, we have some socially-distanced ‘Out & Abouts’ very soon too. Check out the Events Calendar for full details.
